The Manchester Young Solicitors Group had a busy start to
2016 with a successful inter-professional event at Veeno held on the 28th
January with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. The event was
titled a Taste of Sicily and attendees were treated to an array of Sicilian
delicacies and wine. Thank you to our sponsors Catax Solutions and G2
Legal who enabled us to provide this fantastic event to our members for a small
fee of £5 per member.
This event was swiftly followed by the next installment in
our Health and Wellbeing Events. Led by our committee member, Lida
Khanverdi, our members and the Young Chartered Accountant Group were provided
with a nutritional talk at Banyan Tree on the 3rd of February
followed by a Cross fit Class at Train Manchester. MYSG this year are
committed to providing a wide variety of networking events to attract
attendance from our large and varying membership. The next wellbeing
event will be a Yoga Class at Lululemon with our friends at the Royal Institute
of Chartered Surveyors.
For those who enjoy a glass of wine after work, the Giant
Inter-Professional event at Revolution de Cuba on the 18th February
was a resounding success as always attracting over 500 attendees. Thank
you to our contacts at Manchester Chartered Accountants Student Society for
organising such a fantastic event year on year.
Looking ahead we will be holding an event at Manchester
Casino 235 on the 10th March 2016 with the Royal Institute of
Chartered Surveyors. At this event attendees will be taught the skills of
how to hold a true poker face and the solicitors group will be pitted
against the surveyors in a mini poker tournament – we can’t wait!
